The force of nature, both beautiful and brutal. Powerful and overflowing. A curtain of white water cascading down a series of rocks and boulder. A place of stillness even in the midst of the roaring waters. An endless flow just like our minds finding infinite peace in such a majestic paradise.

Now we will unfold the hidden beauty of Bomod-Ok falls. An outstanding sight in Sagada.

After the hike at Marlboro Hills and Blue Soil we head back to our lodge to took a brief rest. It's about 10AM in the morning, we changed clothes and decided to go out and eat lunch at Salt and Pepper located in the town proper of Sagada, and since we haven't visited the town yet it's our opportunity to explore the town proper. It was a 15 minute walk from our lodge yet we still enjoyed the view.

When we reach the town proper we immediately looked for an ATM Machine and it was located at the Sagada Municipal and Tourist Office. The amount that you can withdraw is only 5,000 pesos ($100) so It's much better to bring cash because they do not accept cards on most establishments here and yes to avoid the inconvenience for looking for an ATM Machine. How we marveled over the town, It's peaceful and quite, how we just imagine how lucky the locals here and how we wish we can just live here in this serene place.

We reached Salt and Pepper , We actually don't have many photos because were starving as fuck and at the same time I'm working ( Perks of working virtually ). The place will make you fill cozy, It's like your in a log cabin. The food cost more likely 300 pesos and more but the servings are great for sharing. A meal for two will likely cost you 500 pesos to 600 pesos.

After lunch we explore the town, and was amazed by the structure of their church. Truly this one of Sagada's landmark.

A rare photo of my beloved whom I wanted to exchange vows with.

I'm not a religious person but I was moved by how peaceful the place is and intricate the wood statues that they have. We wanted to actually take the hike to the hanging coffins but since its already 12 noon we need to get back to our lodge to take a quick nap cause our next big tour would be by 1:30 PM .

A Barangay which is one of the landmark that your half way to Bomod-Ok Falls

After a quick nap were ready for our next activity. We rented a van which cost us 600 php to drop us off to Brgy. Banga-an, It's a 20 minute ride from our lodge. When you reach the drop off you need to register first and pay 500 php for the guide. They offer tour guides so only registered ones can guide you to the destination, and I noticed all of their tour guide are women. I think its one of the municipal's tourist project to help locals get a job. I forgot our tour guides name but she was nice and eager to explain the brief history of the place. So our journey to this majestic falls begin. Good news the trail was almost 90% cemented, the bad news It's a thousand stairs that you have to conquer ! The village would be your land mark that your half way to Bomod-Ok.

After passing the small village, another captivating scenery of rice terraces which is part of the trail will amaze you. The wild sunflowers that grows everywhere, the green fields, the view of the mountain and our price waiting beyond this trail. As we drawn closer, We can hear the sound of the water crashing on the waterbed. Roaring greatness awaits us.

And there it is, The great Bomod-Ok Falls, an endless water crashing the jagged rocks, a majestic view that is powerful but beautiful at the same time. It was simply spectacular, an incredible sight that we beheld. It's was worth it, we decided not to swim cause the water is freezing cold, we just stood there appreciating the greatness of nature in front of us. We took some pictures together and bid goodbye to this wonderful sight.

We took the hike uphill, and shit were not halfway yet it seems like my lungs would explode. We took several stop overs to catch our breaths. Halfway, I was so tired I don't want to finish it anymore, but we have to keep moving forward. Finally we passed the village, as we are climbing the endless stairs, we came across with kids going home from school, I was shook and can't believe that everyday they took this route to go to school. Climb and go down to their village with ease and after seeing it I was motivated that if they can do it then I can finish this. Almost there just a hundred more steps away, If my legs could speak it would probably cursed me and shout profanity words on to me. It feels like I did a hundred squats in just a day. And At last we reached the top ! It was a fucking relief. We made it !

We then go to Sagada Coffee Heritage House to reward ourselves. It was like a 15 to 20 minute walk from the drop off, It was hidden beneath the pine trees and what a great view indeed. The food was so good but a little pricey we shared an Etag carbonara cost 350 pesos for one serving and ordered coffee, Their coffee range from 150 pesos to 300 pesos.

By 6 o'clock our service van arrived and took us back to our lodge. We're so tired that we forgot to eat dinner and slept off once we got to our room.

Our body was tired but our soul was so full, It's true that connecting back to nature can soothe and heal your entire being. There's more a lot to explore in this paradise but our time was short and limited, tomorrow we have to bid goodbye. But one things for sure we'll definitely go back.
